Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge

Well, I've signed up for the Painting Challenge.

As a newbie, I'm not quite sure what I've let myself in for, but it seems quite a fun way of setting goals for oneself and getting constructive feedback from people who know what they're talking about.  I'm not going to aim to set any records or win prizes, but hopefully by the end of the challenge my painting will have improved.

No seriously, it a great fun time and give you a great incentive to stick to your painting, just do not go too mad because you can suffer burn out after

  2. Couldn't agree more with what's been said above. Great fun and terrific motivation regardless of your abilities or output.

  3. Fabulous to have you aboard, I had a wonderful time last year just pootling along enjoying the camaraderie whilst the big boys knocked chunks out of each other in a bid to secure top billing - superb sport!

  7. Take it steady Edwin and ignore the flash and the noise. As the then Colour Sergeant Frank Bourne is reputed to have said, "Look to your front. Mark your target as it comes."

    1. Sound advice from 'Boy' Bourne.

I'm not going to get involved in the hoop-la about league table, etc. Just going to set myself a target, plod towards it and enjoy seeing everyone else working themselves into a frazzle ;-)

  8. Cheers to that Edwin. I'm with you, I'm try to light a fire under my ass to get some figures out of the box and fully painted even. I have no idea how many points to put down. I'm trying to look at it rationally. So far it's not working.
