50K Give-Away

As announced yesterday, I'm doing a prize give-away to celebrate getting 50,000 blog views.  Before we get to that though, the Mad Padre is also celebrating a milestone with (a much more imaginative) give-away.  Go across to the Mad Padre's Wargames page to enter.

The Prizes

  • Two pulpy diecast cars of Russian manufacturer (Capt Renault for scale only!

  • Hunter Davies, Behind the Scenes at the Museum of Baked Beans: My Search for Britain's Maddest Museums (paperback book)
  • Sci-Fi Art: A Pocket History (a small book and lots of fun fridge magnets)

  • Asa Briggs, Secret Days: Code-Breaking in Bletchley Park (hardback book)

    1. Congratulations, you posted the 1000th comment - you've thereby earned three bonus entries! (But don't let that stop you buying books!).

I've been sitting on this post all afternoon waiting for the 1000th comment, but in the end I just went with it.

    2. Solution is trivial; keep resampling until I pull #1! otherwise put Men of Tomorrow as #2 and Secret Days in #3.

    1. Cheers Matt.

Is there an echo in here? You seem to have put the cars down twice.

The idea of having three bites of the cherry is that you still get an option if your name is pulled out third and your first two choices have already gone. Of course you might be drawn third and still get your first choice, but this saves some of the back-and-forth that might otherwise happen.
